Hi All, we had an Evening Charter Boat Comp on Monday Night 28/08/16 with Andy Adams on Random Harvest. We fished with 5 members, 2 guest and 1 junior member. We left Poole Quay with a fresh westerly wind which was quite strong to venture outside the harbour with the reassurance from the skipper that it was reasonably calm outside. We anchored up not far from Boscombe Pier with the hope of finding a few Trigger Fish but it wasn't to be. We were plagued with robbing little Bream although welcome to catch they robbed the worm baits before anything else had much chance. We totalled over 80 small Bream which all went back along with 30 Scad, a few pouting, a few Mackerel, a Couple of Undulate Rays, a Pollock, a Baillions Wrasse and a Blenny. Well done to Jay Hemming who won on the night with 47 fish points, Second was Danny Williamson with 40 Fish Points and Third was Phil Thomas with 38 Fish Points and the largest Undulate of the night 8lb. Curtis Driver won the Junior Section with 22 Fish Points. Everyone caught and enjoyed the nights fishing but the hunt for the elusive Trigger Fish goes on.

Hi All, We had an Evening Boat Comp on Monday 15/8/16 with Andy Adams on Random Harvest. We fished with 7 members and 1 Junior Member. The strong wind from the East was too strong to leave the comfort of the harbour and we drifted the main channels. The nights catch was made up of good sized Plaice and mixed sizes of Bream. Phil Thomas won on the night with 21 fish points closely followed by everyone else. Paul Driver and Jay Hemming joint second with 20 fish points. Curtis Driver won the Junior section with 8 fish points catching Bream and a Tub Gurnard. The weed was a bit of a problem and avoiding the racing yachts but Everyone enjoyed fishing in the harbour and look forward to the next trip with better weather.

The wind was quite fresh from the start and pushed the boat around at anchor near to Old Harry Rocks. The tide was running with quite a bit of weed, which made fishing difficult at times. A number of Mackerel and Scad were caught which was a first this year to catch them in any number. A number of Bream were caught along with Dog Fish, Undulate Rays and a Pout. Phil Thomas won on the night with 38 fish points, his catch was made up of Mackerel, Scad. Bream, Dogfish and a specimen Red Gurnard of 1lb 2.3oz. Chris Mackenzie was Second with 31 fish points. Hi All, We had an Evening Boat Comp with Andy Adams on Random Harvest on Monday 18/07/16. We fished with 7 members, 1 guest and 1 Junior Member. The sun was shinning with very little if any wind as we left Poole Quay. We ventured out a little further than the last few matches to take advantage of the calm weather. We anchored up on a bank in the hope of a few Rays and Tope. We managed a few Rays, all Small Eyed and a few tope. Paul Driver and Chris Mackenzie had the best Rays on the night both at 7lb 8oz. It was a little bit slow at times with a few Dogfish, Gurnard, Mackerel and scad being caught. Hi All we had an Evening Boat Comp on Monday 11th July 2016 with Skipper Andy Adams on Random Harvest. The wind was blowing a strong westerly as we left Poole Quay with hope it would ease off during the evening. The wind was too strong to venture out so we tried a couple of drifts in the Swash and had a couple of small Plaice. The fishing in the Swash was quite slow with quite a bit of weed, so as the wind had dropped a little in this time we ventured out a little further to a couple of banks. The fishing was quite good with plenty of different species being caught dominated by Dogfish 40 in total during the session. Well done to Jay Hemming who won on the night with 37 fish points. His catch was made up of 2 Bream, 9 Dogfish, 1 Plaice, 4 Pouting and a Smoothound. Paul Driver Second with 27 fish points and Dave Reeves third on 26 points. Curtis Driver won the Junior Section with 22 fish points catching 2 Bream, 8 Dogfish and a Pout. A couple of nice Undulate Rays were Caught, Dave Reeves with one of 12lb 4oz and Chris Mackenzie one of 13lb 8oz. Other species caught Mackerel and Scad but only one of each. The fishing was steady during the evening with quite a few Pout being caught just as it was getting dark. Everyone caught and enjoyed the evening fishing.

Hi All, We had an Evening Boat Trip on Monday 20/6/16 with skipper Andy Adams on Random Harvest. The Weather was wet and windy during the day but as forecast got better as the day went on and dried up in the afternoon. When we left Poole Quay a fresh westerly was blowing so we didn't venture too far out setting anchor in roughly the same place as last week. We fished with 5 senior members and 1 junior member. New Member Jay Hemming won on the night and impressed with a great total of 73 fish points. His catch was made up of 6 Undulate Rays 5 Bream and 7 Dogfish. Second Paul Driver 16 fish points, Tied in Third was Phil Thomas with a last gasp Ray and Chris Mackenzie on 12 fish Points. Curtis Driver won the junior section with a great score of 33 fish points. His catch was made up of 2 Undulate Rays 2 Bream 4 Dogfish and 1 Mackerel. The weed was a bit of a problem in the strong tide to start but as it slackened off the fishing improved and the wind dropped completely. 10 Undulate Rays were caught on the night, quite a few on or around 10lb mark, the largest on the night was caught by Curtis Driver at 12lb 6oz. 10 Bream up to 2lb were caught along with lots of Dogfish and 1 Mackerel. Everyone caught and enjoyed the fishing with a bit of light hearted banter.

Hi all, We had an Evening Boat Comp on Monday 13/6/16 with skipper Andy Adams on Random Harvest. The plan was to fish off Ballard Point but as soon as we passed Old Harry Rocks the wind had picked up and the waves were too much to make it comfortable to fish. We came back out of the strong southerly breeze to a rough ground mark and anchored up. The rain stayed off apart from one shower at the start and the wind dropped as the night went on. We fished with 6 members 2 guests and 1 junior member. The fishing was really good with everyone catching steadily during the night. Paul Driver won on the night with 24 fish points, Phil Thomas second on 22 fish points and Dave Hoare third with 21 fish points. Curtis Driver won the Junior Section with 28 fish points. A number of double figured Undulate Rays were caught with the largest falling to Paul Driver at 15lb. A number of nice Smoothounds were caught along with plenty of Bream, plenty of Dogfish, a few Mackerel and the odd Scad, Wrasse and Garfish. We didn't manage a Pout which was a surprise after the last trip. We uped anchor before darkness really set in and im sure we would of had a few if we had stayed on in the dark. Everyone enjoyed the night along with the topical banter and the ribbing of the person that forgot the score sheet.

Hi All, We had an Evening Boat Charter trip on Monday 23/05/16, with Skipper Andy Adams on Blue Duo. We fished with 5 members, 4 guests and 1 Junior Member. The sun was out but the chilly wind kept the temperature down for most of the night. Leaving over low water and anchoring up on Poole Patch waiting for the tide to pick up we were plagued with small pout. Fishing was rather slow and disappointing, when the target species Bream were hard to come by, 5 Bream were caught on the night along with lots of pout, a few Dogfish, a few Wrasse and a small conger.
